Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind

I listened to this book rather than reading and I have to say the acting is top notch. The story and it's lush description pull you into this well thought-out world and drop you at the end thirsty for more. I can't wait for the second. Goodkind definitely has his own philosophy and does nothing to hide his viewpoints in this story. That being said I wasn't put Joffre by it in the least and thought it added a richness to the story and made the bad guys very bad and the good guys very good.
